Since its inception, SampleCon has been committed to supporting innovations that drive the growth of the sample industry. Created to provide an opportunity for industry leaders to “focus and collaboratively drive the future trajectory of sample,” we always look forward to this show.
There’s a lot to talk about this year at the conference. Many technologies are changing the way sample buyers and suppliers do business, from automation all the way to AI and machine learning. But perhaps the most disruptive innovation that is poised to change the industry is blockchain. We’re excited to cover implementation of the blockchain on the sample industry at the upcoming SampleCon 2019, being held in Austin on February 11-13. Our Tuesday session, led by Measure Protocol co-founder John Martin, is called “Enough Platitudes — The Reality of Sampling on the Blockchain.”
John’s session will help attendees get past the hype and buzzwords surrounding blockchain and start to uncover how it can truly deliver on privacy, transparency, and data quality. Alongside these pragmatic promises, blockchain does come with a few tradeoffs, and he’ll take a closer look at the challenges, both technical and logistical, of utilizing it. Session attendees will come away with a list of questions that we should, as an industry, be asking about blockchain implementation, as well as a better understanding of its application and implications in our industry.
Don’t you think it’s time for a “reality check?” This session will give you insight into what blockchain can and cannot do - so make sure to mark your SampleCon calendar for Tuesday, February 12 from 11-11:45 a.m. in Park View A.
We can’t wait to see you and connect with all our friends, colleagues, and brightest minds in the industry at the leading sample show of the year!
